
To make our 50th anniversary more ceremonious, a logo called "polishing the brands" (省招牌) was designed. The concept of this logo came from the effort put on promoting the brands by advertising indsutry. The composition of the logo including traditional Hong Kong style's font, colors and pattern gives a strong sense of locality and intimacy to Hong Kong people. In addition, there are brooms and sweepers on the two sides of the logo which represent the devotion of the advertisers who use most of their time to polish the brands, make them shinning.
About the events
In order to celebrate 50th anniversary of The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong, an exhibition about the classic ads from the past 5 decades will be hold from 1st June to 30th June in Pacific Place. The exhibition will use the form of “time subway" to exhibit print ads, TV commercials and modern interactive ads.
The aim of exhibition is to arouse collective memories of Hong Kong' s lifestyles and changing tastes as depicted in the content of each ad piece, polishing the development of advertising industry. This is an unprecedented milestone in the advertising industry, and a show that should not be missed.
Introduction of the ad﹕
In the web, We select 4 representatives from different position of advertising industry, including CEO, creative director and General Manager as the actors. Their image concept came from different type of cleaning tools that represent their great effort put on polishing brands. Throughout the ads, we hope to praise the anonymous heros in the field of advertising industry who put their great effort without complaints, but with the most sincere and devoted heart. All their strenuous effort should not be neglected, we should give them the paramount laudation to show our respect.
