Get your humblebrags ready!!! Prior to that, you need to prepare your entries and submit to the Kam Fan Awards 2023 by the various deadlines. Try your best to take advantage of the Early Bird that will end on January 4, 2024. The Kam Fan Awards 2023 is now inviting entries. Advertising campaigns and creative work launched in Hong Kong between January 1, 2023 and January 24, 2024 are eligible for entry. Please refer to the Kam Fan Awards 2023 Entry Kit and List of Categories for details. Upon closing of the entry system on January 24, 2024, the Kam Fan international jury will kick off the first round of judging online. In early March, the jury will convene in Hong Kong for the final round of judging. They will jointly deliberate the shortlisted entries and award the trophies accordingly. The esteemed jury of Kam Fan Awards 2023 will unveil the winners of the awards at a presentation ceremony on March 11, 2024. We kindly ask you to save the date! With a long-standing mission to inspire and nurture our next-generation talents, HK4As will conjunctionally stage the Young Kam Fan Awards and Students’ Award, The Kam Fan Awards continues to champion creativity of the advertising industry. So whether it’s for your agency, your client, your partners and team members, we urge you to enter your work and help raise the bar of creativity in Hong Kong!

Hong Kong Roots

In 2019, a special category named “HK Roots 本地薑” was added to celebrate work that demonstrates the uniqueness and excellence of Hong Kong creativity with strong relevancy to local insights, culture or behaviour. Work in this category is judged by a special HK Roots Jury composed of local cross-media and multidisciplinary creatives.

Joji Jacob | Singapore

Regional Chief Creative Officer, Havas

Jury President

Joji Jacob is the Regional Chief Creative Officer of Havas South East Asia and North Asia. He is also the Creative Partner and Cofounder at BLKJ Havas Singapore. The 60-strong agency counts amongst its clients some biggest brands in the country and was declared Creative Agency of the Year at both the Singapore Creative Circle Awards and the Hall of Fame Awards in 2018. Before founding BLKJ, Joji was the Group Executive Creative Director of DDB and oversaw an integrated creative department of 140 creative directors, copywriters, art directors, digital designers, and technologists. Under his watch, DDB Group Singapore became the most awarded Singaporean agency at almost every award show. Joji himself has been named Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Director by the Institute of Advertising Singapore and South East Asia’s Creative Person of the Year by Campaign two years in a row. Joji has judged D&AD, Clios, AdFest, Spikes, and was the Chair of the Creative Circle Awards. He was also the Cannes Jury President for Print and Publishing in 2016. And has been appointed President for the One Show radio and Audio 2024.

Firrdaus was recently ranked #1 Creative Director in Singapore by CampaignBrief Asia, and helped his agency claim the #1 spot in the same rankings. Not to be outdone, the Creative Circle Awards also bestowed Forsman & Bodenfors as the Digital Agency of the Year. That particular accolade has left him rather confused as to the true identity of F&B.

Iris is one of the most renowned creative leaders in advertising industry in Greater China. She began her career at Synergie Advertising, a legendary boutique agency where she made her name with the iconic Solvil et Titus TVC Chinese slogan which became a classic in Hong Kong advertising scene.​ ​Since then, she has built her career with leadership roles at several international 4As agencies including O&M, JWT, Bates and M&C Saatchi. She was also one of the few creative leaders ever to take on the demanding dual roles of Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner when she joined W+K Shanghai, DraftFCB Hong Kong and RedLion Publicis. ​ Iris has won over 300 local and international awards. She was elected Chairman of the Hong Kong Kam Fan Creative Committee and Chairman of HK EFFIE Awards, and was invited to be judges for the Cannes Lions Awards, Ad Fest, Spikes Singapore, D&AD, the New York Film Festival, HK 4As, HK EFFIE , Taipei China Times Awards, the China 4As, China ROI Awards and the Longxi Awards.

As HerdMSL Australia's Chief Creative Strategist, he specialises in Social, Content, and Influencer marketing, with a deep passion for gaming and anime. Peter has creatively led campaigns that have regularly become part of everyday culture such as Netlfix’s Queer Eye - YASS, Bright - Calling all Wills, BirdBox - #BirdBoxChallenge. As well as working on launching Samsung's Global influencer program #TeamGalaxy, created a YouTube cooking show for KFC, started a social media debate about how to drink Nestle’s MILO.

Being a prominent watch critic and an enthusiastic watch collector in Hong Kong, Kam Shing has been providing watch reviews on different platforms, including print media, videos, social media and advertisements. He also has rich experience in hosting talks and seminars for various prestigious luxurious watch brands.

MAN Lim-chung has been active in the film industry since 1991, after graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Design. He is a renowned production designer and art director within the Hong Kong film industry. In 1999, he won his first Hong Kong Film Award, namely Best Art Direction for the film “Tempting Heart.” Furthermore, Man was also involved in a wide range of other artistic work in the entertainment industry in China and Taiwan including but not limited to album cover, styling for concerts, art direction for performing art, and TV commercial director.

Meggy Cheng received a Master of Arts in Cultural Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Dean’s List Honour) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree at The University of Hong Kong. In Cheng’s early career, she worked in Account Servicing positions in various multinational advertising agencies for international brands including McDonald’s Hong Kong and Procter & Gamble. As an art enthusiast, she devoted herself to integrating business entrepreneurship with art management practices. She was the Head of Marketing at Chung Ying Theatre Company, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and M+, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, specialised in branding and marketing strategies. Cheng was named the “Marketer of the Year 2019” at the HKMA/TVB Awards for Marketing Excellence 2019. In 2023, she led the marketing team on “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now” campaign and awarded the “Now TV Gold Award” at the HKMA/ViuTV & Now TV Awards for Marketing Excellence 2023.
